Presentation Training

Presentation Training is provided across the United States and Canada. Participants have three options to attend and participate in our presentation training. Presentations are delivered via public open enrollment courses in all major metropolitan areas and are also available to be delivered on-site via private courses. The 3rd option is to attend Online Webinar Presentations Skills Workshops. Our face to face Presentation Training can be provided as off-the-shelf sessions, ready to be delivered to a diverse audience or can be customized to provide a tailored and personalized presentation training approach based on client needs. All presentations courses are limited to a maximum of twelve participants so as to increase presentation course effectiveness and provide the individual level of face to face or online coaching and interaction that is associated with the Presentations Training Skills Center.

Non-Verbal Presentation Seminar Tricks - Even if You Can't Speak, You Can Still Deliver!

Presentations can still be memorable even if the presenter themselves is not charismatic and in some cases can barely speak English. This article shows you the non-verbal tricks you can use to ensure your audience remembers your presentation.

1. A memorable image
If you want people to remember your presentation put together a diagram and I do not mean simply throw in a piece of clipart. Make it something memorable, it can be a flow chart with graphics, mind map, strong piece of imagery. Remember that PowerPoint includes a good number of drawing tools and so you can compile the images together using it and Google Images opens up a huge range of pictures that you can use in your presentation.

2. A video
Even though it's your presentation a short video clip can make all the difference in a presentation where you can show people visually and orally what you want them to see. When you show the clip be sure to stand to the side and let people watch. If you want to comment then do so after the clip.

3. Thumbnails
Rather than use lines upon lines of text use Thumbnails when doing your introduction use pictures rather than words to show what you are going to say and then in each section of your presentation repeat the thumbnails and repeat them again in your conclusion.

4. Don't put everything up on the slides
Do not write whole sentences on your slides. A good way to think of this is that each of your bullet points should never be more than 5 words long. You can't write everything in five words, but that is why you are speaking to people. They can of course make notes.

5. Give people more information than is available in the presentation
If your slides do not contain all the information, then neither should your handouts. A lot of people don't realize that if in PowerPoint you print 3 slides to a page then it will give people space to take notes. Use this option, because it means people are actively engaging with you. However if you really want people to remember your presentation, give them a bonus at the end and not just a further reading section. If you want people to come back for more give them a link to your site with a game to play or more examples. People who are interested will want to go and visit these resources and if you want to stay in contact, then you can ask for a list of emails to send out the resource.

6. Be generous with question time
If you have been given an hour's slot make sure at least 15 minutes of that slot is available for questions. Some of the best presentations have 30 minutes of content and the rest of the time is available for questions. Some people may leave, but are these the people that you really want to address?

7. Give people something to do
Sitting and listening can be a tough occupation. If you can ask people to talk in pairs about an experience they have had can be an effective way to break up the information and allow people time to digest information. Even in a fairly large audience you can ask for people to then come up and share their experiences. Some presentations go further than this and attach objects under people's chairs. Even if the object is a piece of card with a message it adds interest and breaks up the presentation.
