Top Ten Ways To Deliver Amazing Presentations Seminar

It's that time again!  Time for Spring Conferences and Spring Manager Meetings.  Many of you will be asked to deliver presentations or even entire meetings.  Meetings and presentations should be fun, inspiring, and energizing for the stores and field leadership.  Not everyone enjoys the experience of presenting, in fact, I see several of you breaking out in a sweat right now.  You can be a dynamic presenter if you are willing to do the work.

  1. Practice. Yes, you need to practice your presentation repeatedly.  Read the material numerous times.  Say the material out loud several times until you are completely comfortable with the words.  If there are words that will not roll off your tongue — change them.
  2. Rehearse in front of a mirror. Well that is the same as practice.  No, it is not.  Watch yourself in front of a mirror.  Observe what your face does.  Check out your expressions.  Get comfortable with the image that you are projecting.
  3. Rehearse in the arena. Uh huh, rehearse again where you will actually be delivering the presentation.  Feel the room.  Absorb the seating in front of you.  Again, get comfortable with yourself in that environment.
  4. Big three. Limit the message to about three takeaways.  What 3 big ideas do you want your audience to walk away with?  You may certainly have more points and content; however, laser focus on three solid ideas.
  5. Involve the crowd. Pick out in advance a few names you will use in the presentation.  Draw that crowd in and keep their attention that way.  You do not have to call on them for dialog but reference them — actual people in the crowd.
  6. Use media to add punch. Do not use media just to use it.  It must solidify a point or draw the crowd to the message.  Do not overuse it.  If you are using a powerpoint, make it simple and bulleted.  You do not want the audience READING while you are speaking.  It is a great tool to organize the presentation for the audience but you want them invested in you, the speaker, not the slides being projected.
  7. Never apologize. Guess what?  No one knows what you planned to say so if you "goof" — so what!  Do not apologize to your audience if you get tripped up.  Just push on.  They will never know.
  8. Use your voice. The sounds you make should be loud, energized, enthusiastic but varied as well.  Up, down, quiet, booming, fast, slow, and passionate.  Keep your audience on the edge of their seats.
  9. Look like the expert. Look great!  Wear your favorite outfit.  Get a haircut.  Get up early and exercise to get your blood pumping.  Use your body to show your passion for the topic.
  10. The Secret Weapon — Last Thing, First Thing! Read the entire presentation right before you put your head on the pillow the night before.  Pick it up as soon as you get up in the morning and read through it again.  This guarantees the words will be there for you on the stage.

You may now hit the stage confidently and blow your audience away! Seize the stage!

It takes commitment to prepare a presentation that delivers great messages and energy to the participants.  Free of charge today I am delivering to you my TOP TEN WAYS TO DELIVER AMAZING PRESENTATIONS. You can do this!
