Presentation Skills - Your Business Presentations Can Grab New Clients

Grabbing clients is especially difficult in a recession or troubled economy. However, with a stellar business presentation you can make the kind of conversions that you want. You simply need to make sure your presentation is clear, concise and professional. Otherwise, you will find it difficult to convert any of your potential customers.

The first step in a business presentation is to have a welcome. You need to make this welcome slide be as professional as possible. No animation or other "goofy" effects. Simply include your name, title, business name, and possibly the logo. This will make sure that the new customer gets the information they need in the most concise way possible.

The next step in your business presentation will be to pre-sell your business. This step can be the most crucial of the presentation. During this step, you will need to inform your customer about the basics of your business, and give them the general idea of your product. Do not go in to deep or you will lose the customer before you have the chance. Most customers need to be pre-sold or they simply will turn away from your business.

Now that you have pre-sold your customer on your product or service, now is the time to bring out all of your secret weapons. Use animation, music, images, graphs, to make your points more clear. In fact, this is the step where you can have as much fun as you want. The most important thing to remember is to remain clear. As long as you can get your message across clearly, you will be doing just fine. Another important point to remember at this step in your presentation is to not put in full sentences. Full sentences should never be in your presentations. Instead, you should speak any full sentences in order to reach your customers and maintain their focus.

Now that you have sold your customer on your product or service you can grab your new client with an effective closing. You should close concisely and give your potential customers an idea of why they need to use your services. The better job that you do at this, the more customers you are likely to convert. Do not doubt yourself, and do not underestimate your client’s ability to need to have more clarification about certain subjects.

Let us remember what we have to do in order to convert potential customers to customers. The first step is to invite them into your presentation and give them your opening points. Do not give them too much information too early, slowly build up your presentation. Now, pre-sell them with a few facts. Then move in for the final sale with all that you have. Finally, close your presentation by using a concise page of facts and points. Ask your potential customer if they have any questions. Business presentations are one of the best ways to make money in a bad economy. This is because you get to meet your clients face to face and give them the information that can make them come into your business.
