Business Presentations Training Courses - Body Language Tips

Business presentations can be extremely nerve wracking and are often a success or failure based on your body language. Would you know how to hold your body language to ensure your business presentation was a success?

Body language and non-verbal’s tell so much about who we are and what we believe in that there are whole fields dedicated to their study. These tips will allow you to hold it together while delivering your presentation and show your audience that you mean business!

1. Hold your body upright. holding your body upright will show your audience that you are confident and believe in what you are presenting. A slouching person usually indicates lies or untruths and therefore is untrustworthy. Hold your chest out and head high. Not only will your audience respond but the physiology shift will also make you feel more confident.

2. Voice. Speak in a slow and commanding voice. Again this is a sign of confidence which is exactly what will make your business presentation a success or failure. Use differences in your pitch to exaggerate particular points in your business presentation. You should also speak slowly and clearly. Ensure your audience has time to hear each point and process the information.

3. Hands! Your hands will give away your nervousness more than anything. I can’t stress enough, don't fidget. Hold your hands by your side and relax them. if you are so nervous that you can’t relax hold your first index finger and your thumb together as hard as you can. After a short time your hands will relax and you will forget all about them and continue on your presentation.

4. Stay relatively still and move slowly. When you make sudden and jerky gestures you audience will become distracted from your business presentation. Stay in one general area so the audiences focus is on what you say and any important information you may wish to present. Jerky gestures also give away your insecurity which we know by now are not beneficial to your business presentation success.
