The Executive Presenter

In their positions of authority, executives are often called upon to represent their organizations, be they publicly traded corporate entities or non-profit organizations, to external clients, partners, shareholders or journalists. Some executives are comfortable with the pressure that their role entails. They are used to making difficult decisions and find that presenting offers pressure just like any other task. However, others struggle when presenting because, just like other people, they may not have been taught properly how to channel their anxiety or utilize their talents to their advantage. In fact, even those who can handle presentation anxiety often find themselves unsure as to how to put in place an effective presentation. Of course, much is at stake. Given that stakeholders look to executives to provide important data such as financial numbers, sales presentations to top corporate accounts or other topics that have an effect on a company’s image, what takes place before and during a presentation is critical.

That’s why we designed The Executive Presenter. We realized that executives needed a workshop designed to focus more specifically on their needs. Some need a guiding hand in handling question and answer sessions when speaking with company employees during layoffs. Others need assistance understanding how to speak credibly and effectively when meeting with the press. Our one-day workshop, The Executive Presenter explores various executive-level situations and enables participants to hone their skills in a practice-rich developmental environment. Each participant practices skills and then receives immediate feedback from a senior Presentations Training Center instructor. This process ensures that strong points are recognized and areas of improvement can be identified and addressed. The results will be an increase in skills, confidence and abilities that lead to stronger, more effective presentations.
